It is noted that active work is currently underway to implement the project for the reconstruction of the Aksu sugar plant. In general, this project is to allocate 8 billion tenge this year, of which 2 billion tenge is the local budget funds channeled through SEC Zhetysu. It is planned to replace the main process equipment, repair buildings and facilities, purchase fuel, rehabilitate thermal power plants, recruit staff and train them.

“According to the plan, Aksu sugar plant is scheduled to be launched at the end of this year. And in late September - early October, acceptance will begin. In general, it is planned to process 80–100 thousand tons of sugar beet,” the message says.

In addition, this year the region plans to increase the area of ​​sugar beet crops to 9 thousand hectares, including 1,600 hectares in Aksu, 500 hectares of Alakol, 1 850 hectares of Eskeldi, 1,100 hectares of Karatal, 1 700 hectares, Sarkand district - 1,600 hectares, Kapshagai - 568 hectares, Taldykorgan - 82 hectares.

“About 1.4 billion tenge were allocated from the regional budget to create new service and procurement centers and to purchase foreign-made sugar beet seeds. In the current year, service-procurement centers will be established in Alakol, Aksu districts and Kapshagay, a center in Sarkand region will be completed. Currently, agreements on the supply of 96 units of agricultural machinery have been signed,” the akimat reported.

According to the akimat, in the current year, the sugar beet growers for 1 ton of products delivered to the plant will receive 17 thousand tenge, of which 8 thousand tenge will be paid by the plant, 9 thousand tenge - the management of agriculture in the form of subsidies. In addition, the cost of purchasing mineral fertilizers will be subsidized up to 50%, herbicides up to 40%, seeds up to 70% of their value, regardless of the producer countries, as well as up to 50% of the costs associated with the supply of irrigation water.
