This was announced during the visit of akim of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov to Aksu district.

After commissioning, SEC "Zhetіsu" together with the management of the plant started a complete re-equipment of the enterprise, since the equipment was physically and morally outdated. To date, the plant imported modern equipment made in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France and China.

According to the director of the plant, Samat Nadirbayev, 280 people are involved in the reconstruction of the second stage of modernization. Among them are foreign employees. And when the plant starts working again, 600 locals will work in the processing of beets. To date, the installation and replacement of 84% of the process equipment has been completed. The plant will be launched in test mode on September 15, and a full launch is scheduled for October 15, 2018. After collecting the first 20,000 tons of beet harvest, the plant will begin to work without interruption.

About 130 thousand tons of sugar beet will be produced from the planned for this year processing 130 thousand tons of sugar beet. Previously, the beet meal was transported by transport in an open state, and therefore lost its quality due to moisture on the way. Now there is an opportunity for special equipment for pressing and packing meal. In the packaged state, the product is stored without loss of quality for up to 2 years. Such environmentally friendly products without chemicals - an indispensable feed for feedlots. In the future, it will be possible to export finished products to domestic and foreign markets.

Akim of the region Amandyk Batalov, visiting the shop for tamping and packing of meal, processing of beets, packaging of finished products, also inquired about the readiness of the thermal power plant and fuel supply. According to the plant's specialists, the CHP boilers are ready for launch. Next year, after the construction of a new CHP plant, the existing boilers will be used as a reserve.

At the end of the visit, the head of the region, A. Batalov, reminded the plant management of the responsibility for the state funds allocated through SEC Zhetisu and that each tiyn should be used purposefully for the modernization and commissioning of the plant.

In addition, he noted that the operation of the plant is a huge breakthrough for both the local population and the economy of the region.

“The president set before us the task of increasing the volume of sugar beet cultivation and its processing with the help of advanced technologies. Our commitment to this task is obvious. We started to finance and work with the Islamic Development Bank to restore irrigation systems. Agronomic assistance is provided to beet farmers, helping to improve product quality. This year, given the increased yield per hectare than last year, we plan to achieve a good result. We also launched the Aksu Sugar Plant based on partnerships between the public and private sectors. Thanks to new technologies, the sugar content in processed beets increases every year and reaches up to 14%. Aksu plant will reach full production capacity by 2020-2021. And it will process up to 350 thousand tons of beets,” the regional akim concluded.
